Why Massage Therapy?massage

By, Michelle

It doesn't 'just' feel great! The benefits of massage therapy are endless and include: pain reduction, increased range of motion, circulation and flexibility.

Massage is the power of touch using a natural approach to treat soft tissue injuries and muscle imbalances in the body. Massage Therapy can help your body's own healing process by the mobilization of the soft tissue using the Massage Therapist's elbows, hands and forearms. Massage is beneficial for injuries acting as a pain and stress reliever.  Just the power of touch alone is healing.  It portrays a sense of caring to both the mind and body.

Your Massage Therapist may select either superficial massage for relaxation, or deep tissue massage for therapeutic rehabilitation.  These techniques are also used to treat achy and stiff joints in the body, which occur due to every day wear and tear, and sports or non-sports related injuries.

Massage has been around for hundreds of years, and has carried through to the present as an integral part in maintaining a healthy mind and body.  Today, the popularity of massage continues to increase due to the high stress conditions of society.   With the vast array of treatment techniques, people are now increasingly looking for a holistic and natural health care method for their problems.  Massage Therapy is a combination of both art and science providing a relaxing and healing experience through artistic strokes on the human 'canvas' body. These techniques rejuvenate both the mind and body, and prepare it for the continuous physical and mental stresses life throws at us daily.

If you are experiencing any muscle or joint pain and stiffness do not hesitate to call in and book an appointment with Michelle or any of the Nose Creek Massage Therapists.  We will get you moving faster!
